This piece came about through a residency at NES in Iceland.

During the residency we were inspired by the geology of Iceland and we began to explore how a locations’ history is left behind and often recorded within the objects and the environment. We would go out 'digging' for rocks and other objects from the local area and use a stylus or contact microphone to examine their history. Just like a geologist would study rocks under a microscope - we observed a locations history through listening to it.

These rocks eventually became part of our DJ set in which we also play copper and ceramics.
